ECCTG provides training as well as competition opportunities for its members – and we want to know exactly what sort of training you would like!
Thank to you all those who have already taken the time to complete our training survey – we’ll leave it open for a bit longer for any other members wishing to help shape the future of ECCTG’s training.
A massive thank you to everyone who came along last night to support the club fundraiser. The atmosphere was great and we hope everyone had a wonderful time. It was a hotly contested quiz and we hope to put on a similar social again later in the year/early in 2014, for those wanting a chance at toppling “Quiz Team Aguilera’s” crown…
We are just totting up the proceeds and will let you know how much was raised soon.
A special thanks to those who donated prizes to the raffle, which was incredibly well stocked, to Tom Graham for being quizmaster for the evening, to those who were unable to make it but very generously sent donations in their absence and to Gwen Robinson for doing such a great job organising it!

There are some fantastic raffle prizes on offer on the night too: tickets for the Southview Show Jumping Masters, vouchers for Somerford and Kelsall, shower/cosmetics gifts, wine, chocolates, equine first aid kit, a woollen day rug etc etc. Get your tickets now!
A quiz night will be held on June 22nd at Smallwood Primary School.
This is a fundraiser for ECCTG to continue supporting all its wonderful teams who qualify for championships so we expect to see all past, present and future team members there showing their appreciation for the club’s support!
Funds raised will also go towards supporting Nicki Toomer and Brook Butler who will be representing the club – and Great Britain! – at the World Riding Club Tournament in France at the end of July. See below for more details.

Following double success at the National Show Jumping Championships at Lincoln 2011 and 2012, ECCTG has the honour of sending two members to the World Club Tournament in France. Brook Butler and Nicki Toomer will be representing the club and Great Britain, alongside two members from Gower Riding Club in Wales, and hoping to bring home the World Title. Gwen Robinson, ECCTG’s Show Jumping Chef d’Equipe is also acting as Chef for the GB team.
Brook and Nicki welcome all support for this event and hope to do the club proud. We hope that members will support the club by attending the Quiz Night on June 22nd, where funds raised will be put towards horse hire cost (more expensive than you’d think!) for this event as well as towards general ECCTG team costs. Donations are of course welcome even if you can’t make the quiz night!

ECCTG urgently needs 2 x senior team members for the BRC Horse Trials area qualifier on 16th June at Berriewood. It is for the 80cm class, and the rider mustn’t have ridden at BE100 this year or last. If anyone is interested, please contact Lisa on 07799133032 or lisadeaville@hotmail.co.uk.
Entries are for the outdoor SJ competition on 23rd June at Alsager Equestrian Centre. This competition is on the outdoor surface and will start at 1pm. Entries to Carol Graham on 07515 343444.
