The forthcoming Agriculture Bill will set the agenda for the future of our countryside. The British Horse Society believes that opportunities to improve and enhance access to safe off road riding should be integral to the Agriculture Bill.
Please contact your local MP to support The British Horse Society’s call for farmers and landowners to be paid to widen the network available to horse riders, and to help maintain the network as part of any future subsidy scheme under the Agriculture Bill.
You can find and contact your local MP (using this draft letter) from the websites below:

You will be pleased (hopefully!) to know that we won’t be sending opt-in emails out to everybody, as our understanding of the guidance is that it is unnecessary in this case. However, obviously if you wish to opt out of communications at any time, do let us (via Alison) know.
A lovely day at Aston le Walls last Saturday May 19th for the FOTH championships – a show jumping course with testing alternatives followed by cross country provided an interesting competition – the ECCTG Challenge 100 team of Ashley Daniel, Hannah Mulliner, Sarah Whyte and Georgia Drummond went splendidly – double clears abounded – but time being of the essence in this competition they were just a touch speedy, which resulted in 5th position (3 scores to count) and 3rd (all 4 to count) – highly respectable. Sue O’Leary, our Challenge 90 individual, jumped an immaculate double clear and came within a whisper of a rosette – 11th place individually – again a couple of hooves too fast. Many congratulations to the fast ladies of the ECCTG!!
Good luck to all those competing, times are published here.
